Today’s post is a short but important one. This past week we lost a dear friend. His death was sudden and unexpected. He was too young.
We had just seen him a few days before, and left each other with hugs and a “See ya later!”
But later will never come like the tears have.
When things like this happen, you think of all the things you wanted to say, but never got to. So this week we’ll give ourselves a little grace and a chance to say the things we never got to (or might never) in a two-part prompt.
PROMPT PART 1: Write a letter to someone you’ve lost and tell them all the things you wished you had while they were alive.
PROMPT PART 2: Write a letter to someone who is still living (a paper letter in longhand, not a text or email) and tell them all the things you want to tell them before it’s too late. Whether you send the letter or not is up to you.
And in honor of Jason Hamric’s memory, these prompts will be free to everyone from now on because helping people achieve their dreams is what he was all about. And he never asked for a damn thing in return.
Such an important thing to do. Even if it feels a bit uncomfortable.
